PROJECT MANAGEMENT

ZW provided Project Management services through the construction of the Phase 1 third floor renovation for Mental Health, and is also providing full Project Management services for Phase 2 from functional program approval through to construction and commissioning.

This project is delivered via an Alternative Finance and Procurement (AFP) process utilizing the Build-Finance model of project delivery.

PHASE I

Phase I of the The Brockville General Hospital (BGH) project comprises of renovations in order to move the Mental Health unit from the Elmgrove site to the third floor at the main BGH building on Charles Street. This Phase of the project was completed in March 2014.

PHASE II

Phase II of the BGH project comprises of the redevelopment which includes the renovation of approximately 6,000 square feet of hospital space, and the expansion and new construction of 260,000 square feet.

The new addition accommodates 29 new Mental Health beds in the Acute Mental Health and Addictions Program, 47 Complex Continuing Care (CCC)/Palliative beds, and 17 Rehabilitation beds on two inpatient floors of 32 beds each.
