PROJECT MANAGEMENT

ZW Project Management Inc. provided full Project Management services, which consisted of Risk Management and Schedule Oversight, in the construction of a new building for the Women’s College Hospital. This new building was built at the hospital’s original site on Grenville Street.

The project involved a two-phased building process which began with the closure and demolition of a parking garage and apartment building. The first phase of the hospital was a new tower that was constructed where the existing parking garage and apartment building were located. The hospital clinics and services were moved into the newly constructed Phase I building to allow for demolition of the original hospital and construction of Phase II. With the completion of the final Phase, most hospital services will be conducted from one location.

Construction started in August 2010; Phase I reached Interim Completion May 2013, and construction started on Phase II in June 2013, and was completed in May 2016.
