ZW Project Management Inc. provided full Project Management Services for the Kingston General Hospital (KGH) redevelopment project. The redevelopment project consisted of approximately 141,000 sq. ft. of renovation, and the expansion and new construction of 170,000 sq. ft.
Affiliated with Queen’s University, KGH is a 456-bed teaching hospital that serves more than 500,000 people in southeastern Ontario and is the community hospital for the Kingston area. KGH provides an array of specialized acute and ambulatory clinical services including trauma, cardiac, cancer, stroke, pediatric, prenatal, and end stage renal and stem cell transplants. KGH is dedicated to compassionate, high quality healthcare in a dynamic academic research environment.
Working with KGH and Infrastructure Ontario, ZW provided project management services for the KGH Redevelopment Project. The complex construction sequencing included 18 separate construction phases with 23 major owner fit-ups and moves.
